Established on April 23, 1908, when Congress created the Medical Reserve Corps, the Army Reserve has grown into a critical part of our nation’s defense. These Soldiers balance civilian careers while standing ready to serve at a moment’s notice.

From World Wars to modern-day missions across the globe, the Army Reserve continues to provide vital support, expertise, and strength whenever duty calls.

Today, we honor the legacy, the sacrifice, and the unwavering commitment of every Army Reserve Soldier—past and present.
