This gathering is designed for clinicians, veterans, caregivers, and community members who are curious about non-traditional healing pathways, while holding respect for the seriousness, risks, and depth of this work.

The event will take place in a private theater with immersive surround sound, creating a contained and intentional space to witness, reflect, and engage in dialogue.

Film Screening

In Waves and War takes us on a powerful look at trauma, embodiment, and recovery among veterans. The film highlights the limitations of traditional, conventional treatments for PTSD and brain injuries; aiming to shed light on the high rate of veteran suicides and offer a message of hope and resilience.

Content Advisory:
This film is emotionally intense and includes themes related to war trauma, psychological distress, and deep inner processing. Viewers are encouraged to listen to their own capacity, step out if needed, and engage in self-care before and after the screening.

Post-Film Community Dialogue

Following the film, we will hold a facilitated discussion that bridges lived experience and professional insight.

A community member and military veteran will share first-hand experience with Ibogaine in relation to PTSD—speaking openly about:

  • What led him to this modality
  • The realities of the experience (before, during, and after)
  • How healing unfolds over time rather than as a single event

This portion centers embodied truth over sensationalism, honoring both the relief and the responsibility that comes with this work.

Clinical & Medical Perspectives

We will also hear from a small panel of psychedelic-assisted psychotherapists who have supported individuals before and after psychedelic medicine experiences. Topics will include:

  • Preparation: psychological readiness, screening, intention-setting, and education
  • Safety & Containment: medical oversight, ethical considerations, and risk awareness
  • Integration as a Lifelong Process: how insights are woven into daily life, relationships, identity, and nervous system regulation over time
  • The Growing Need for Trained Integration Support: why community-based, trauma-informed aftercare is essential—especially for veterans

Panel Q&A

The evening will close with an open Q&A, offering space for thoughtful questions, reflections, and curiosities. This is an opportunity to engage directly with:

  • A veteran with lived experience
  • Psychedelic-informed clinicians
  • Medical professionals involved in integration support

All questions are welcome, with an emphasis on respect, safety, and informed inquiry.
