Marines Memorial Challenge

The Marines Memorial Challenge consists of a celebration of the 245th Marine Corps Birthday (10 November) and 101st Veterans’ Day. Opening ceremonies include a Marine Color Guard and cake-cutting of the birthday cake. Runners will be provided maps of the Trail System at Sunset Park annotated with five stations.
At each station, runners will draw a card. The best poker hand wins one of four $250 gift cards. The three fastest runners to each station will receive extra cards. The course is not timed and not defined.
Runners can choose any way to run the course which is set up to provide a run of at least 5km. Runners choosing more circuitous routes may find they run longer distances. Winners need not be present after the race to receive their winning card
