National Purple Heart Month

National Purple Heart Month is observed for the entire month of August.  It is a month dedicated to remembering and honoring the brave men and women of the United States Armed Forces who were killed in action or wounded on the battlefield. 

Purple Heart Day is observed on August 7th each year.
