This #GivingTuesday we’d like to introduce to 100s of nonprofit organizations who in one way or another help veterans, active duty military, military spouses, children of active duty military, military families and the military community in general. Looking to give back this Giving Tuesday? Why not spend some time checking out these organizations. While we do have several very large charities, most listed in our system are smaller organizations who can make a big, faster impact on the military community with just a fraction of the big charities get.
Most do not have budgets to run fancy advertising campaigns. Many lack the resources to hire grant writers, administrators and more. Most are run 100% by volunteers who also work full-time jobs and have families. In short, many of our nonprofit members work miracles with just a fraction of the financial donations many of the larger charities get. In many cases, some of these organizations put MORE THAN 100% of the donations they receive toward their organization’s goal. How you ask? Because we’ve talked to numerous nonprofit members over the years and the one thing we constantly hear is that the founder/president/etc puts their own money into the organization. Oh… and–while not all are–a good chunk of these charities are also run by fellow veterans!
Here’s a breakdown of some of these nonprofit organizations and their areas of support:
NO MATTER WHO YOU GIVE TO THIS #GIVINGTUESDAY ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE ORGANIZATION IS LEGITIMATE, THE DONATION SITE IS SECURE, THE ORGANIZATION USES A LARGE PERCENTAGE OF THEIR DONATIONS TOWARD THEIR GOALS AND IS NOT RUN BY SCAMMERS!!!!
