Army & Air Force Exchange Service (AAFES) to Honor Nation’s Heroes with Veterans Day Coin Giveaways:
In honor of Veterans Day, the Army & Air Force Exchange Service will distribute free challenge coins to those who have served our Nation.
PXs and BXs worldwide will hand out the limited-edition coins to Veterans on Monday, Nov. 11, marking the fifth year of the Exchange’s coining celebration.
“The Exchange is honored to show its gratitude to those who have selflessly served their country,” said Air Force Chief Master Sgt. Rich Martinez, the Exchange’s senior enlisted advisor. “Offering these small tokens of appreciation for the service and sacrifice of our Nation’s heroes is an honor.”
The coins—featuring an eagle on one side and the six United States Armed Forces emblems on the other—are available at PXs and BXs while supplies last on Nov. 11. Veterans are encouraged to contact their Exchange or visit their local Exchange Facebook page for more information.

Army Corps of Engineers Recreation Areas FREE Entrance:
No fees will be charged to the entire public on Veterans Day at its 2,850 recreation areas nationwide, excluding camping.

Cincinnati Zoo FREE Admission:
All members of the military will receive free admission to the zoo on Veterans Day. Colorado Parks and Wildlife FREE Admission on Veterans Day:
Active duty and veterans are admitted free to Colorado state parks on Veteran’s Day. The military member or Veteran must show proof of military service (photo ID, DD-214). All other park fees (camping, etc.) are still charged. Please visit their website for details.
Columbus Zoo and Aquarium 1/2 Priced Veterans Day Admission:

Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum Veterans Day FREE Admission:
The Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum will honor active-duty and retired armed services members with free Museum admission on Veterans Day, Monday, November 11. As an additional token of thanks to the United States Armed Forces, past and present, the Museum will also extend free admission for up to three immediate family members.
Between 10 a.m. and noon in the Museum’s Taylor Swift Education Center, visitors will also have the opportunity to share appreciation for our military members and their families by creating postcards for active-duty troops. Great Clips provides service members with free haircuts on Veterans Day
Thank a Veteran works in two ways. First, every year on November 11, veterans and active service members can come into any U.S. Great Clips salon and get a free haircut, or a free haircut card for a future visit. So if you’re a service member or veteran, be sure to stop by a salon on Veterans Day so we can say “Thank you!”
Second, if you’re a non-military customer, you can visit a salon on November 11 and receive a free haircut card to give to a service member or veteran as a way of saying thank you.

National Parks FREE Entrance on Veterans Day:
National parks are America’s best idea, and there are more than 400 parks available to everyone, every day. The fee-free days provide a great opportunity to visit a new place or an old favorite, especially one of the national parks that normally charge an entrance fee. The others are free all the time. The entrance fee waiver for fee-free days does not cover amenity or user fees for activities such as camping, boat launches, transportation, or special tours. Free annual pass. Available for: Current U.S. military members and dependents in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard as well as Reserve and National Guard members.
New Zoo (Green Bay, WI) FREE Admission:
In honor of Veterans Day on Monday, November 11th, the NEW Zoo & Adventure Park will once offer free admission* to the NEW Zoo and to the Neil Anderson Canopy Tour for veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their immediate families. Free coffee or hot chocolate and popcorn will also be provided to our guests of honor while supplies last in the Mayan Restaurant.
The NEW Zoo is open daily from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. in November – including on all upcoming holidays! If you need a spot to rest and warm up during your walk around the zoo, you can always stop into the Mayan Restaurant and enjoy a cup of hot chocolate or coffee. The Neil Anderson Canopy Tour opens daily at 9:00 a.m., with the final tour departing at 3:30 p.m. daily in November, except on Thanksgiving Day when it will be closed. Fat tire bike rentals are also available at the Adventure Park Base Camp Building daily starting at 9:00 a.m. whenever trails are open. The Adventure Park’s zip lines, climbing wall, and ropes challenge course are closed for the season.

The New York City Veterans Day Parade is the largest Veterans Day commemoration in the nation. Nearly 300 elements consisting of 20,000 marchers and 150+ vehicles proceed up NYC’s iconic Fifth Avenue in the heart of Manhattan: America’s Most Patriotic mile!
The Marine Corps is this year’s featured service for the event, which will march up Fifth Avenue between 25th and 45th streets in Manhattan from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m.. It will be broadcast live on WABC in New York, as well as live-streamed here on Military.com.
The parade is expected to feature nearly 300 marching and vehicle units and welcome 20,000 participants from across America, representing every service branch of the military and every era.
Pro Football (NFL) Hall of Fame Veterans Day Event and Expo FREE Admission:
The Pro Football Hall of Fame will host its annual Veterans Day Event & Expo supported by Oswald Companies to honor military veterans on Monday, Nov. 11.

Held in partnership with the City of New Orleans and Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee, this annual ceremony helps the Museum share the stories of American servicemembers and honor all who have and continue to honorably serve our great nation.
To mark this holiday, the Museum proudly offers FREE admission to veterans of all conflicts.
This year’s Veterans Day ceremony will feature a salute to all servicemembers, presentation of the Mayor’s Military Advisory Committee Veteran of the Year award, and remarks from Major General Andrée Carter, Commanding General of US Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command (Airborne). A highlight of the event will be the opening of the Museum’s latest special exhibit, Fighting for the Right to Fight: African American Experiences in World War II, which explores the significant role Black Americans played in securing Allied victory despite facing discrimination. On display in the Senator John Alario, Jr. Special Exhibition Hall from November 11, 2024, through July 27, 2025, Fighting for the Right to Fight is presented in honor of Corporal Warren J. Donald, Sr., by the Arnold Donald Family and on display in New Orleans thanks to additional support from Dr. Bobby and Mrs. Lori Kent Savoie and Timber and Peggy Floyd.
