Veteran Owned Business’ 17th Anniversary

Veterans Day 2025 (November 11th) is extra special for us—it marks 17 years since the launch of Veteran Owned Business (VOB)! What began as a grassroots effort on Veterans Day 2008 to support small businesses owned by those who proudly served (or continue to serve) our nation has grown into a thriving community.

Thanks to the incredible support of our veteran and military community, the Veteran Owned Business Marketplace now includes nearly 40,000 members, over 400,000 supporters, more than 50 million visitors, and 150 million pages viewed! Our network has expanded to feature businesses owned by active-duty military, reservists, military spouses—and over 1,000 nonprofits who, in one way or another, support the military and veteran community. Not too shabby for a movement fueled by passion and patriotism.
