Victory Ranch Inc. Details: “Victory Ranch Inc. is a disabled veteran-owned equestrian non-profit that is in the sixth year of operation. We offer a free after-school program (The Kids & Horses Education Program) that unites disadvantaged youth from the San Francisco Bay Area (Alameda, Contra Costa, Marin, Napa, San Francisco, San Mateo, Santa Clara, Solano, and Sonoma Counties) with a horse buddy. The students are either foster, adopted, at-risk, neglected, and abused with many of them coming to the program with behavioral disorders. The Kids & Horses Education Program operates each quarter for disadvantaged and underserved youth ranging in ages generally from 8 to 16. The kids learn about horses, horsemanship, tack, and ride the last three sessions. They graduate as Buckaroos.
Victory Ranch Inc. conducts on-going research that has validated that many of these behaviors are changed through our program, providing measurable outcomes. We also provide professional Equine Assisted Psychotherapy sessions, and soon will offer a special PTSD program to veterans. Certified teams lead the sessions.
