Military Veterans Casting Call: NY Tri-State Area Veterans Wanted for a Powerful VA PSA Directed by Kathryn Bigelow – PAID
Vitamin Enriched, a real people casting company, is searching in the NY Tri-State area for US Military Veterans for a powerful new PSA for the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs. We are looking for two types of Veterans. One who is younger (20-35) recently separated and served in non-combat roles – (IT, logistics, admin, or other support roles). The other who is older (40+) and can be perceived as a mentor and has served in a combat or a non combat capacity.
The PSA will feature real Veterans in honest, emotional conversation with one another—sharing stories of service, doubt, identity, and affirmation. This campaign is aimed at preventing Veteran suicide by addressing feelings of unworthiness and imposter syndrome that many Veterans face.

- If selected, on-camera principal payment is paid according to the Screen Actors Guild (SAG) union contract.
- Payment: PSA Waiver-scale session fee – $822.30, no residuals
- Union: SAG-AFTRA (PSA Waiver)
- Usage: Worldwide, one year with the option to renew. It will run on social, broadcast and radio on donated (not paid) media (in all media covered under the Commercials Contract). Still photography usage in perpetuity.
- Casting Interview date: via Zoom, 6/17
- Callback date: via Zoom 6/20
- Fitting: 6/24
- Shoot date: 6/26
- Shoot location: TBD in or around NY Tri-State area.
Veterans submitting must be open to:

If selected, a brief pre-interview, discussions with the director, and lightly guided improvisation.

If selected, sharing personal artifacts (medals, photos from time in the service, stories, uniform elements etc.) with the production.

Undergoing a background check including social media (booking may be contingent on this).
