3rd annual Father’s Day Charity Car Show Hosted By John D. Sudduth American Legion Post 72

John D. Sudduth American Legion Post 72The John D. Sudduth American Legion Post 72 is honored to host their 3rd annual Father’s Day Charity Car Show on Sunday June, 18, 2023 from 8 AM – 3 PM at 345 Legion Drive, Warrenton, VA.  Featuring hundreds of unique cars, trucks, and motorcycles, the event proceeds will benefit the Fauquier Community Food Bank, Willing Warriors, and the American Legion Post 72. 

This year introduces People’s Choice electronic judging and continues offering food and ice cream vendors, specialty vendors, door prizes, and winner trophies.  Last year’s event featured over 240 cars and attracted over 1,000 visitors.  General admission is free, but donations are welcome.

According to event coordinator Dave Lucash, “We’re excited to host another Father’s Day family-fun event at the Legion. Last year brought out a great crowd and we had an amazing event. This year we hope to welcome more vendors and look forward to donating even more to local charities”.  



Vehicle owners can visit legion72carshow.com to pre-register their car, truck, or motorcycle for $25 through June 1. On-site registration is available for $30.  Vendors are welcome to contact legion72carshow@gmail.com to secure a booth for $30.  Sponsorship opportunities are welcome through sponsorships, direct donations, and raffle items by contacting legion72carshow@gmail.com.  The rain date is July 9, 2023.

Founded in 1919, The American Legion is the nation’s largest and most influential veterans service organization. It is made up of nearly 2 million wartime veterans who focus activities on the organization’s Four Pillars: Veterans Affairs & Rehabilitation, National Defense, Americanism, and Children & Youth.  Post 72 was named after John Sudduth who enlisted into the U.S. Army during World War 1, died during the Battle of the Marne on October 23, 1918, and was the first casualty from Fauquier County lost in the War.
