2024 Friends of Mississippi Veterans Golf Classic & Sporting Clay Shoot

Last October 2023, hundreds of participants, donors, and volunteers gathered at Jackson Country Club and Providence Hill Farm for the Golf Classic and Sporting Clay competition benefiting Friends of Mississippi Veterans. The success of those two events was attributable to people like you who appreciate our veterans. It was the fifth year for the Sporting Clay and the third year for the Golf Classic event. Over $178,704.20 was raised over this 2-day event in 2023! The Friends of Mississippi Veterans has purchased three new transport vans to date, leaving us with the goal of buying two more this year, including a van for the 5th home slated to open in Biloxi before/by the close of 2024. FOMV will continue to fund the “Wreaths Across America” project at the two-state VA cemeteries in Newton and Kilmichael and place wreaths on approximately 1724 headstones. A birthday card project happened in January 2024. Each resident veteran received a special birthday card from FOMV on their birthday.
