VA and VFW Post 5162 to Host Veterans Resource and Job Fair in Madison, Alabama on September 16
Veterans, transitioning service members and military families in North Alabama will have an opportunity to connect with employers, veteran service organizations and community resources during an upcoming Veterans Resource and Job Fair in Madison, Alabama.
The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW) Post 5162 will host the free event on Wednesday, September 16, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 140 Research Blvd., Madison, Alabama.
The Veterans Resource and Job Fair will bring employment opportunities, VA services, veteran assistance programs and other resources together in one convenient location. Veterans, transitioning service members and their families are encouraged to attend and connect directly with employers and organizations committed to supporting the military and veteran community.
Employers Invited to Connect With Veterans
Companies that are currently hiring are invited to participate in the job fair and meet veterans and military family members who are seeking employment opportunities.
Participating employers can reserve a table at the event. Space is limited, and tables will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The event provides businesses with an opportunity to meet prospective employees from the veteran and military community while supporting efforts to connect veterans with meaningful civilian employment.
Veteran Service and Resource Organizations Invited to Participate
Organizations and companies that provide services, programs or other resources for veterans and their families are also invited to participate by hosting an informational table.
There is no charge to participate, although products may not be sold during the event.

Veteran Services and Resources Available
In addition to employment opportunities, the Veterans Resource and Job Fair is designed to make it easier for veterans and their families to obtain assistance, learn about available programs and connect with organizations that can help them navigate veteran benefits, services and other resources.

- VA Mobile Clinic
- VA Mobile Wheelchair Repair
- Veteran Service Officer (VSO) assistance
- Employment opportunities
- Veteran and family resources
- Additional community and veteran support organizations
Veterans who need assistance from a Veteran Service Officer are encouraged to take advantage of the opportunity to receive help with veteran benefits and related services.
