Workshop Purpose:
- In this hands-on workshop, small business owners will learn simple, practical ways to use AI to support their marketing. The focus is on saving time, getting unstuck, and creating better first drafts without sounding generic.
- Participants will see how AI can help with common marketing tasks such as social media posts, emails, website copy, flyers or event descriptions, promotional ideas, follow-up messages, and repurposing existing content.
- The session will use real small business examples, simple prompt formulas, and guided practice. Participants will leave with beginner-friendly AI prompts, a basic review checklist, and at least one marketing task they can start using AI for right away.
- We will also cover common mistakes, including vague prompts, over-polished language, inaccurate claims, and publishing AI-generated content without review.
How to Prepare/What to Bring:
● A free or paid Generative AI Account (e.g. ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Co-Pilot) is required to get the most out of the hands-on portions of this workshop.
● Bring a fully charged laptop or device with your selected AI application installed and signed in to your free or paid account.

Workshop Objectives:
By the end of this 90-minute beginner workshop, participants will be able to:
● Recognize 5 simple ways AI can support small business marketing, including social media posts, emails, website copy, flyers/event descriptions, and content repurposing.
● Use 2 beginner-friendly prompt recipes to create a first draft of common marketing content.
● Revise AI-generated content so it sounds more specific, natural, and appropriate for their business.
● Apply a simple review checklist before publishing AI-assisted marketing content.
● Identify one marketing task they can start using AI for right away.
