Today is a day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance as two meaningful observances come together.
RED Friday (Remember Everyone Deployed) reminds us to wear red in support of the brave members of our Armed Forces currently serving around the world, many of whom are separated from their families while protecting our nation.
Today is also National Purple Heart Day, observed each year on August 7, honoring the courageous service members who were wounded or made the ultimate sacrifice in combat. The Purple Heart stands as one of America’s oldest and most respected military decorations, recognizing extraordinary sacrifice in defense of our freedoms.
Whether you’re wearing red, taking a moment of silence, thanking a veteran, or remembering a Purple Heart recipient, today offers us all an opportunity to reflect on the courage, commitment, and sacrifices of those who have served.
