Join us for an inspiring talk by Nick Lavery on how to build resilience through leadership and positive habits!
About this event
Join us for an inspiring evening with Nick Lavery, Joey Bowen, and Ben Monette, as they share their incredible journeys of resilience, leadership, and the power of habit.
Nick Lavery, an active-duty member of the United States Army Special Forces, made history as the first Green Beret to return to combat as an above-the-knee amputee. After losing his leg in an insider attack during a deployment to Afghanistan, Nick refused to let this setback define him. He rejoined his unit and continued to serve with distinction, becoming a Special Forces Warrant Officer and a subject matter expert in special operations, mission planning, and complex problem-solving.
Joey Bowen is the co-founder of Few Will Hunt, a movement and apparel brand dedicated to restoring the dignity of hard work. Frustrated by the growing culture of entitlement, Joey and his cousin launched Few Will Hunt to promote the values of discipline, focus, and perseverance. What began as a simple t-shirt design has grown into a global community of hard workers committed to rejecting shortcuts and embracing the grind.
Ben Monnette is a former Green Beret who has faced significant challenges, including struggles with mental health and addiction. Despite his successful military career, Ben battled negative self-talk and doubts. Through a recovery program at Treehouse Recovery, Ben transformed his life and now dedicates himself to helping others by sharing his story.
This event is hosted by Consequence of Habit, a 501(c)(3) organization committed to inspiring positive change in our communities. Founded by JT Frank, a military veteran and recovered alcoholic, Consequence of Habit aims to show how habits shape our lives and how we can harness them for good.
