Hardwater Freaks Annual Ice Event – Lure Bar & Grill

The wait is over! For the last five years, HARDWATER FREAKS has hosted memorable events to benefit many amazing causes with the goal of bringing the joy of the great outdoors to veterans and children alike. Our first event hosted just twenty die-hard men and women with a love of ice fishing, in comparison to last year’s event that brought together over four hundred attendees who shared in comradery on the ice. You will not want to miss what we have in store for the 2022 HARDWATER FREAKS Annual Ice Event!

We are proud to announce the partnership of our main beneficiary, Wisconsin Wounded Warriors United which is a nonprofit organization dedicated to giving back to our veterans by engaging them in the outdoor activities of hunting and fishing. Additionally, HARDWATER FREAKS has again partnered with Fishing for the Heart, a nonprofit organization designed to connect kids, families and friends to each other through faith and the sport of fishing. HARDWATER FREAKS will also be selecting veteran-owned small businesses in the great outdoor community to support through the donations of this year’s event.

In addition to our beneficiary partnerships, there will be live music throughout the event presented by the one and only David Charles Productions. David and his crew will be setup and offering music, lighting, taking special requests and more. Additionally, recording artist Zakk Daniel will be on and off the mic getting the party rocking and rolling!

Two years ago, our annual event raised just over $13,000 and last year’s event nearly doubled that total at $25,442.00! We are excited to see what greatness this year’s event will bring to veterans and children in the great outdoors!

WHO CAN ATTEND?

The HARDWATER FREAKS Annual Ice Event is for everyone! Unlike other events in the fishing community, our doors are open to all walks of anglers and their families. The event itself is not a tournament, nor is it a jamboree. Whether you have caught thousands of fish or never stepped foot on the ice, you are welcome to join in our cause!

PARKING

There will be ample parking at the event. Parking will be available in the main parking lot outside of the Lure Bar & Grill, along Archer Lane leading into the event grounds, and on the ice. Thinking about parking on the ice? Our event safety technicians will be out the day before the event to check ice thickness and posting cautionary areas of potential concern, from beach front to the channel as necessary.

TIMELINE

• 4:00 a.m.: Beach launch opens for those who wish to bring friends and family out for a morning of hammering walleyes before the main event.
• 11:00 a.m.: Event doors open for registration check-in and raffle purchase.
• 12:00 p.m. – 1:30 p.m.: Lunch
• 4:00 p.m.: Last call for raffle ticket purchases as sales will end promptly at 4:30 p.m.
• 5:00 p.m: Group photo and National Anthem performed by recording artist ZAKK DANIEL. We ask that everyone be present for the National Anthem to pay tribute to the men and women who gave the ultimate sacrifice for our beloved nation.
• Guest speakers and raffle drawings to follow.

TICKET PURCHASE

Tickets are available for $25.00 and includes lunch (wristband provided). There will be no walk-on event tickets sold. Any persons/attendees 5 years and older must have an event ticket to partake in the event, including raffles. Ticket purchases are nonrefundable. Any purchased tickets which are not redeemed shall be utilized as a donation to the event. Please print your ticket voucher you receive via email.

RAFFLE

You must have an event ticket to purchase raffle tickets. THOUSANDS of dollars in raffle items will be available including some crowd-pleasing products from some of our favorite brands including: DIAWA, MEPPS, MISTER TWISTER, AUTOMATIC FISHERMAN and WIDOW MAKER LURES.

SHUTTLE SERVICES

Shuttle services across the ice will be available every 15-20 minutes via UTV/ATV and trailer for attendees without machines or other accessibility. Transportation will be available from the shore to the channel straight out from the event grounds. The shuttle is at your own risk and you assume all liability of you and your gear while utilizing this shuttle.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

HARDWATER FREAKS LLC is a firm believer in personal health choices. Therefore, MASKS AND VACCINATION status is your personal right and option. Both will remain optional.
