Warrior Hikes: Gold Strike Hot Springs, Lake Meade National Recreation Area

These monthly hikes on the first Saturday of every month will feature members of our Military/Veteran community as hike guides, mental health-and-wellness providers and veteran benefits liaisons. We’ll also include raffles for awesome outdoor gear like backpacks, outdoor kits, camping/survival equipment, and much more!

This one-of-a-kind route features a somewhat strenuous hike through a beautiful canyon to hot springs pools. There are eight fixed ropes if you go to the river; some are challenging, especially when coming back up.

All park visitors are required to purchase a recreational use pass upon entering Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Additionally, the park charges lake use fees. We’ll rally at Goldstrike Canyon and Hot Springs Parking Lot and step off at 9 am.

Trail Length: Approx 5 miles

Difficulty Level: Difficult!! Children not recommended for this hike.
