An evening of dance, theater and spoken word with artists, veterans, military-connected individuals at the Intrepid Museum in NYC.

About this event

Experience an unforgettable evening of dance, theater and spoken word as Exit12 and the Intrepid Museum present the 3rd annual Stories of War performance in honor of Memorial Day 2025. After an eight-week series of movement workshop with a diverse cohort of artists, veterans and military-connected individuals, this powerful performance will explore the effects of war on both veterans and civilians. Through art and storytelling, Stories of War fosters cross-cultural dialogue, promotes empathy and encourages healing.

The Intrepid Museum’s Veterans Programs are made possible by public funds facilitated by the New York City Council Committee on Veterans, in partnership with the New York City Department of Cultural Affairs. The Museum’s education programs are supported, in part, by the New York State Council on the Arts with the support of the Office of the Governor and the New York State Legislature.

This project is also funded in part by Creative Forces®: NEA Military Healing Arts Network, an initiative of the National Endowment in partnership with the U.S. Departments of Defense and Veterans Affairs. Creative Forces Community Engagement Grant program is managed by Mid-America Arts Alliance. This program is also supported by DANCE/NYC’s Advancement Fund, made possible by the Howard Gilman Foundation and the Ford Foundation.
