Free Kayaking Program – Connecting veterans to the healing power of the Riverway
Veterans are invited to join St. Croix National Scenic Riverway park rangers and Wild Rivers Conservancy staff on a free paddle connecting veterans to the healing power of the Riverway.
Our moving national park provides a place of reflection, rest, and recuperation for all. The paddle is an opportunity to engage in an outdoor activity that benefits physical and mental health and connects you to others in your local military community.
This is a fully supported paddle. You will be provided with premium kayaks, paddles, and life jackets, as well as a shuttle service from your cars to the initial boat landing.
WHAT TO BRING:
- Adequate water
- Lunch/snack while on river
- Polarized sunglasses
- Binoculars
- Clothing that dries quickly and correlates to weather conditions
- Sunscreen
- Hat
- Shoes that can get wet or sandals with straps
Space is limited to 12 participants.
