14th Annual Torchy’s Taco Run

Welcome to the 14th Annual Torchy’s Run, now benefitting Band of Runners!

Note: This is a community-organized event and not directly affiliated with Torchy’s Tacos or Ten Junk Miles.

In 2013 a group of Torchy’s fans hatched a plan to run to every Torchy’s Tacos and eat a taco at each location. The total distance was 26.2 miles, and 5 tacos. Since then, the route has grown and expanded alongside our favorite taco chain and now covers over 40 miles and 10 tacos within the city limits of Austin!

This year we will be raising money to benefit Band of Runners. Band of Runners provides support to military veterans and their families by welcoming them into the trail running community and teaching them the skills of the sport.

“The Run” will begin at Torchy’s Tacos Anderson Mill when they open at 8 AM and will cover approximately 42 miles across Austin as we visit all 10 Torchy’s locations in the city. Our pace will be very casual, allowing for everyone to enjoy this group run. It is not a race! If you’re feeling bold, you can also complete “The Challenge” by eating a different taco at each location.

Complete as many miles and eat as many tacos as you want. The route is pedestrian friendly and ride shares are easily accessible at any of the locations if you need to drop in and out.

The “cutoff” will be 11 PM when the final stop closes (The Oaks at Slaughter).
