Join us for the 2021 Ray of Hope Conference, held November 19th at Westmoreland County Community College.

 

The 2021 Ray of Hope Conference is a free event open to the community. A continental breakfast and catered lunch will be provided. Local resource tables will be available along with a pet therapy dog and private self-care room.

We are honored to have Anne Moss Rodgers as our Keynote Speaker. She is an award winning author and TED Talks speaker! She will be sharing her lived experience with losing her son to suicide and addiction and how she found hope again after her tragic loss. Anne Moss has written several books, one a memoir of her story. We will be having a book signing after her keynote.

Following Anne Moss, Dr. John McCarthy will present on Hope and Resilience in Changing Times. Dr. Charma Dudley will then speak on suicides in the minority populations. Both Dr. McCarthy and Dr. Dudley have many years working in education and social services.

The afternoon will feature an attempt survivors panel moderated by Dr. Sam Lonich. The panel will consist of representation from the LGBTQ+ Community, Veteran Community, BIPOC Community, and several others sharing their lived experience and how they find hope and resilience every day.

We will be closing out the day with a festive Family Feud !

Registration and exhibits begin at 8:00, with opening remarks at 9:00. The conference will conclude at 3:00.
