Nonprofit Seminar: How to Start a Nonprofit 501

This seminar will give you tools to ensure that your new nonprofit will be successful and sustainable. The seminar will
include a step by step process to complete all of your legal requirements both State and Federal. This
class will give you the confidence and information to begin your 501(c) 3 organization and the resources and knowledge to ensure that you are doing it right. This is not a management course, volunteer course or a fundraising (grant writing) course all of which we recommend. SCORE periodically conducts these courses and they are keys to success. This course gets you started on the right path to success. It is directed toward those valuable people who want to provide a public benefit to people- you who start nonprofits

• Resources and reference materials for the start-up phase (throughout all topics)
• An outline of the steps needed to incorporate and obtain your 501(c) 3 + discussion of pitfalls
