About the Position: This is an Expedited Hiring Authority Announcement. The Duncan Hunter National Defense Authorization Act (NDAA) FY 2010 provides that the Secretary of Defense can designate acquisition positions as shortage positions and can recruit and appoint highly qualified person to these positions. This announcement is open to accept resumes from candidates interested in helping the Department of the Army meet our mission requirements for the acquisition of systems, equipment and facilities. This position is located in the U.S. Army Test and Evaluation Command, Redstone Test Center (RTC), Aviation Flight Test Directorate, located on Redstone Arsenal. The Redstone Test Center’s mission is to provide technical expertise, state-of-the art facilities and capabilities to plan, conduct, analyze, and report the results of tests on missile and aviation systems, sensors, subsystems and components. This announcement may be used for 90 days from the closing date to fill similar positions. Applications submitted under this vacancy announcement may be used up to 90 days to fill like positions permanently or by temporary promotion which may be made or extended up to a maximum of five years and may be converted to permanent without further competition.
