Space Coast Honor Flight Welcome Home Celebration Returns to Melbourne Orlando International Airport September 12
Veteran Owned Business is proud to help spread the word about an upcoming opportunity for Florida’s Space Coast community to come together and give our nation’s veterans the welcome home they deserve.
The Space Coast Honor Flight Welcome Home Celebration is returning to Melbourne Orlando International Airport (MLB) on Saturday, September 12, bringing together families, friends, local organizations and community members for an evening filled with patriotism, celebration and gratitude.
The public is invited to help fill the airport terminal with cheers and patriotic spirit as Space Coast Honor Flight veterans return home from their journey.
A Welcome Home to Remember
The Welcome Home Celebration is free and open to the community and will feature live music by Hot Pink, food trucks, beer for guests age 21 and older, and an opportunity for attendees to show their appreciation for the veterans returning home.
The evening’s scheduled events include:
- 8:30 p.m. – Doors Open
- 9:00 p.m. – Red, White, & YOU! Preflight Party
- 9:34 p.m. – Scheduled Flight Return
- 10:00 p.m. – Veterans Walk of Honor
Community members are encouraged to bring their patriotic spirit and help create a memorable homecoming for the veterans and their families.
Organizations Can Join the Team Challenge
Businesses, nonprofits, civic groups and other organizations interested in attending as a group can also participate in the event’s optional Team Challenge.
The organization with the greatest participation will have a chance to win a pre-paid Guardian Spot on a future Space Coast Honor Flight.
Participation in the Team Challenge is optional and is not required to attend the Welcome Home Celebration.
Help Welcome Our Veterans Home
Honor Flight programs provide veterans with opportunities to visit memorials dedicated to their service and sacrifice. The Welcome Home Celebration gives the Space Coast community an opportunity to be part of that experience by making sure these veterans return to a terminal filled with appreciation, cheers and support.
